Our School
Scoil Bhríde, Fourmilehouse is a Catholic School, under the patronage of the Bishop of Elphin, Kevin Doran. The school is situated on the N61 approximately 10 Km north of Roscommon town. The school has five mainstream teachers, two special education teachers and three special needs assistants. Our ancillary staff consists of a secretary, caretaker and cleaner. We currently have an enrolment of 109 pupils.
We are very lucky to have an abundance of outdoor playing facilities for our pupils. We have two large tarmac yards, one of which has basketball nets. We also have a large juvenile football pitch and a state of the art 40M x 25M astro pitch at the rear of the school.
The school has a shelter just inside the main gates and at the rear of the shelter is a handball alley. As the school is situated between the Church and the Community Centre, we avail of both for Religious and Sporting activities respectively. Our Garden area has a polytunnel, raised beds and a bug hotel. We are also very proud of our recently developed sensory garden.
Our classrooms and general purpose room are all equipped with Interactive Flat Screens. We have a suite of devices, which are available to all classes, these include a suite of 18 laptops and 12 IPads. We also have a school library and kitchen.
